On January 30th, Philips Commercial Display launched the LED Feiyue series, which adopts a display solution combining TFT glass substrates with Micro LED chips and is positioned for high-precision display applications. This series replaces traditional PCB carriers with TFT glass substrates and introduces an AM active drive architecture to enhance display consistency and system operational stability.

In terms of display structure, the Feiyue series utilizes a TFT glass substrate as the display medium. Compared to traditional PCB substrates, glass substrates exhibit higher flatness and consistency, facilitating the implementation of Micro LED mass transfer technology and achieving a pixel pitch of P0.78. With this structure, the pixel arrangement is more uniform, which can reduce image granularity to a certain extent and improve the representation of image details. The translucent nature of the glass substrate, combined with the self-luminous characteristics of Micro LEDs, helps enhance brightness uniformity.

In terms of driving method, the Feiyue series utilizes AM (Active Matrix) active driving technology, which independently controls the voltage and current of pixels to achieve point-by-point light emission management. This is beneficial for enhancing contrast adjustment capabilities and maintaining image stability under high refresh rate conditions, making it suitable for applications that require high consistency in dynamic images and colors.

In terms of heat dissipation and stability, TFT glass substrates exhibit excellent thermal diffusion characteristics. Coupled with an AM-driven energy management mechanism, they can reduce system power consumption and screen surface temperature rise. Additionally, their relatively stable drive control helps minimize display flickering, making them suitable for use scenarios involving long-term continuous operation.
